COVID-19 Update: Variant Spread, Vaccination Opportunities, Inclusive Employer Toolkit

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted provided the following updates on Ohio’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Governor DeWine announced today that more than 36 percent of Ohioans have now received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, however, Ohio’s statewide case incidence number has reached 200 cases per 100,000 people as compared to 144 cases per 100,000 people four weeks ago.Read full story

NIH-Funded COVID-19 Testing Initiative Aims to Safely Return Children to In-Person School

 

New RADx-UP research effort combines testing and safety measures in underserved populations.

NIH Closes Enrollment in Trial Comparing COVID-19 Treatment Regimens

Head-to-head trial unlikely to show difference between regimens.

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health, today announced that the fourth iteration of the Adaptive COVID-19 Treatment Trial (ACTT-4) has closed to enrollment because the study met pre-defined futility criteria indicating that neither treatment regimen studied is likely significantly better than the other.… Read full story
