Governor DeWine Announces New Law Enforcement Accreditation Program

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)— This morning, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed an executive order establishing a statewide program to recognize law enforcement agencies that voluntarily meet or exceed Ohio’s new standards for professional excellence. 

Led by the Ohio Collaborative Community-Police Advisory Board, the new Ohio Collaborative Law Enforcement Accreditation Program will certify law enforcement agencies that implement a series of nearly three dozen state standards reflective of best practices in law enforcement.Read full story

Ohio Leads Brief Supporting Federalism in Texas Border Case

 

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) — Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost is leading a coalition of 22 attorneys general in urging a U.S. Appeals Court to uphold Texas’ right to enforce a state immigration law amid a challenge by the federal government.
