Special Municipal Civil Service Commission Meeting

The Mount Vernon Municipal Civil Service Commission will hold a special public meeting on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall, 40 Public Square, Mount Vernon, Ohio for the limited purpose of discussing the following:

 

  • Multiple job description changes/adjustments
  • Updating Civil Service Commission rules/regulations to reflect changes in ORC 124.26
  • Regular Civil Service testing schedule for establishment of hiring lists
  • Evaluations for retention points per Ohio Administrative Code standards

End Overdose in Knox County

 

Observed on the 31st of August each year, International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) seeks to create better understanding of overdose, reduce the stigma of drug-related deaths, and create change to reduce the harms associated with drug use.

The Knox Substance Abuse Action Team (KSAAT) invites the Knox County community to come together on Wednesday, August 31st to remember those who have died or suffered permanent injury due to drug overdose and support families who have lost their sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters.Read full story
