Utopia Foods Inc of Glendale, NY, is recalling its 200g packages of “Enoki Mushrooms”, imported from China and distributed nationwide in the US because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.Read full story

Governor DeWine Signs Bills Into Law

 

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed the following bills into law:

  • Senate Bill 56, sponsored by Senator Louis W. Blessing III, regulates the use of indemnity provisions in professional design contracts related to public improvements,  regulates uninsured motorist coverage relating to persons provided immunity under the Political Subdivision Sovereign Immunity Law, and provides a municipal corporation or county immunity from liability in any action arising from a hospital police officer acting in the discharge of duties in specified locations.

Governor DeWine Announces Fifth Round of Wellness Support for First Responder Agencies

 

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced today that 72 local first responder agencies will receive a total of $28 million to help support the wellness and staffing needs of Ohio’s first responders.
