Knox Co USDA Farm Service Agency is seeking applications for a Part-Time Temporary Intermittent Program Technician Position. The applicant must have a solid working knowledge of production agriculture and be able to communicate effectively with agricultural operators. They will report directly to the County Director. This position is responsible for carrying out office activities and functions pertaining to the Farm Bill program areas administered by the USDA. Duties include clerical work, applying federal statutes from Farm Bill programs, taking confidential applications from farmers, computing program payments, GIS, and interpreting aerial photography. Successful applicant must be reliable, proficient with computers, have excellent organizational skills, attention to details, professional attitude and enjoy working with the public in a fast-paced environment.
