Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

Shift: 5 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Thursday (overtime availability)

Our Company has an excellent opportunity for a qualified person to join our well-established manufacturing Company who is energized by making a difference.

Position Summary:

Assists and supports the Shipping & Receiving Warehouse Department by performing the following functions:

Essential Job Functions:

Support safety policies and procedures within the plant in both the Shipping and Warehouse areas and 300 building warehouses (if MV).

Responsible for meeting shipping and warehouse goals including picks per hour.

Ensure that all orders have been filled correctly.

Ensure IT’s are loaded correctly and on time.

Constantly evaluate current staff to optimize efficiency and meet schedules.

Manage schedules, employee performance and reviews, attendance, time cards, training and disciplinary actions.

Determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures.

Documents SOP’s for customer requirements.

Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).

Communicate with other Supervisors and Plant Manager.

Schedule and conduct communication meetings.

Maintains vehicle maintenance report.

Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance for repairs.

Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work area.

Ensures products and supplies are shipped, distributed, or received efficiently.

Follow all Company policies and procedures.

Regular attendance is essential.

Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:

Professional in all communication.

Must exhibit time management.

Professional, detail oriented, and dependable.

Employee and customer driven.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory position.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
