August 25
A complainant called to report that her ex-boyfriend left items in her driveway while she was at work and requested to speak to a deputy about filing a protection order and to have the individual trespassed. The
male half contacted the sheriff’s office and spoke to a deputy as well. Both parties were advised about the process for filing a protection order and the male half was trespassed from the original complainant’s address. A report was completed for documentation.

A complainant reported his wife passed away and his sister-in-law had some items of his wife. After speaking with the husband and sister-in-law, it was determined the whereabouts of the items in question were a civil issue. Both parties were advised and a report is being done for documentation.

A deputy was dispatched to Apple Valley on a burglary. A complainant stated that someone tried to break into his house. The complainant stated that his door frame was broken but did not appear that anyone gained entry. A report was taken of the incident. Nothing further at this time.

Kenyon College Campus Safety found a glass smoking pipe and turned it into the Knox County Sheriff’s Office for destruction.

An inmate at the Knox County Jail damaged a section of security glass.

A complainant called the Sheriff’s Office to report a theft. A report was taken.

A complainant called 911 in reference to the Offender who is a facility member that was having a behavior issue and attacked her, hitting her in the back, face, and head multiple times before she was able to get back to her feet and call 911.

A deputy was dispatched to the area of Rabbit Ridge Road near Brush Run Road on an injured deer in the roadway needing to be dispatched. The deputy located the animal and dispatched it with his service pistol.

August 26
Deputies responded to a mental health incident. Upon arrival, Deputies spoke with the initial caller. After the initial investigation Deputies determined that the individual be transported to Knox Community Hospital for a mental health evaluation.
