This short ride is to promote awareness of the Ohio Fallen Heroes Memorial in Sunbury.
(There is no ceremony at the memorial this year)
Veterans Services is simply offering a safe gathering and launch location so that patriotic brothers and sisters can share the experience together.
This event is open to the public, all are welcome,(not just veterans) all bikers and riders in attendance will receive some form of gift, t-shirts, hot/cold mugs, cooling towels and multiple other items while supplies last. (9/11 commemorative t-shirts were not available this year)
Upon your arrival at the memorial, it is suggested those who wish may gather at the sign prior to entry for a group photo.
At that point, all in attendance are left to their own time to visit the memorial and leave when their visit is over. (there is no designated finish or destination beyond the memorial).
There is no cost, and Veteran Services does not accept any gifts or donations. However, feel free to investigate how to donate to the memorial itself via their Facebook and website.
There is no rain date set. If mother nature does not cooperate, we will see you next year!
