In 2019, the library worked with the Knox County Park District to find a location for the new storybook trail. The library received a Knox County Foundation grant to purchase pedestal frames through Barking Dog Exhibits. Paragraphs Bookstore donated multiple copies of the book to disassemble then reassemble in the frames. The Knox County Career Center Building Trades program to build the archway to the trail.
The Storybook Trail consists of 19 posts and is located on Wolf Run’s Pond Trail, located at Wolf Run Regional Park, 17621 Yauger Road, Mount Vernon. The Storybook trail is designed to promote literacy with physical activity.
