JOB SUMMARY: This is a full-time (40 Hours per week) 12-month position who reports to the lead pastor

Works in the main church office helping to coordinate the day-to-day operations of church office management. Works with church pastoral staff, ministry leaders and laypeople as it pertains to the church office and ministry. Will report directly to the lead pastor.

SKILLS NEEDED SUMMARY

  • Preferred skill with Excel, Word, Publisher, and QuickBooks
  • Computer trainable for Church Community Builder (Our database)
  • Able to keep all matters confidential
  • Proficient in organizational and interpersonal communication
  • Office hours are from 8:00-4:30 M-F (flexible)
  • Pay Scale: Dependent upon skill and experience
  • Be flexible, resilient, and a good ambassador
  • Must pass a background check
  • High school diploma
  • Other

Weekly Duties

  • Organize office for efficiency
  • Attend staff meeting for calendar updates, scheduling, and ministry coordination
  • Answer phone, email, and inquiries
  • Filing as necessary
  • Prepare Sunday material as needed
  • Work with treasurer on auto payment of bills
  • Record weekly giving
  • Keep up Church Community Builder information (Database)
  • Follow up with Dare to Care on new guests and welcome committee

Monthly

  • Monthly reporting for (Copier, local and district ministry reports, board meeting)
  • Reconcile credit card statements (Staff will designate accounts)
  • Work with staff to support special events and holiday themes (i.e., Christmas/Easter)
  • Print and distribute board meeting minutes and reports
  • Submit payroll documents of non-pastoral staff (Custodians/workers- biweekly)
  • Order Gideon Bibles for funerals

Yearly

  • Work with pastor on year-end nominations and voting for church elections
  • Gather and print annual report (Local)
  • Work with pastor on Annual Pastors Report to general church
  • Work with treasurer for annual giving statements
  • Maintain membership rolls (Master List/transfers/new members)

Pay: $10.00 – $15.00 per hour
