May 5
A deputy located a stolen vehicle on Cassell Road at the intersection of Hyatt Road. The truck was reported stolen by the owner when it was parked in the city of Mount Vernon. The vehicle was found crashed on its side with no one around. OSP responded to investigate the crash and Mount Vernon Police also responded to continue their investigation into the matter.

May 20
Deputies were dispatched to Zion Road Gambier, Ohio 43022 on a domestic violence incident. Deputies and a Mount Vernon Police Officer arrived on the scene and made contact with the involved parties. Deputies began their investigation and subsequently arrested a male involved in the incident for domestic violence. The male, Troy M. Wagner, was transported to the Knox County Jail and released to jail deputies. A temporary protection order was issued.

A complainant called to report that multiple subjects drove a golf cart away from a golf course without permission to do so. Deputies responded and made contact with all parties. The individuals were trespassed from the golf course per the property owner and a report was completed for documentation and to be sent to the City Law Director for review.

Deputies were dispatched to a gas station on E. Main Street in Centerburg, Ohio 43011. The complainant advised an individual that was getting gas tore the handle off the pump. Deputies arrived on the scene and collected photographs for a report.

Unit 1 was traveling south on North Liberty Road. Unit 1 left the right side of the roadway on the shoulder, over-corrected, crossed the centerline, ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a signpost before coming to rest off the left side of the roadway in the ditch. May 21
A complainant reported that sometime overnight person(s) unknown shot the window of his truck with a BB or Pellet gun.

May 22
Deputies were dispatched to a Mount Vernon residence on a complaint. The resident advised a visitor had illegal drugs and that they wanted them removed. Deputies were able to identify the visitor and were advised that the unwanted visitor had two warrants out of Holmes County. The suspect, Jeremy T. Price, was transported to the Knox County Jail and held for Holmes County.

A complainant contacted the Knox County Sheriff’s Office regarding a theft incident. A deputy made contact with the complainant via phone and a report was taken.

Unit 2 was traveling eastbound on State Route 586 near Purity Road. Unit 1 was stopped at the intersection of Purity Road and State Route 586 when he failed to yield to Unit 2. Unit 1 struck Unit 2 on the passenger side. Unit 2 continued into a ditch, struck a traffic sign and then overturned before coming to rest on the vehicle’s top.
