April 26
The K-9 unit conducted a vehicle sweep for the presence of illegal drugs/contraband w/neg. hit – Bridge of Dreams, Brinkhaven
Handled a private property auto accident where a vehicle driven by Rigeoberto Sica-Lapez struck the south side of the Family Dollar building on Millersburg Road. Sica-Lapez was issued a traffic citation for no driver’s license

April 27
Suspicious person – in the 20 block of West Washington St.
Handled a Civil issue – in the 600 block of South Cedar St.

April 29
Threats/Harassment – West Rambo St.

April 30
Found property. The property was returned to its owner – in the 14000 block of Millersburg Rd.
Juvenile related incident – Crestrose Dr., Apple Valley
Open burning – in the 100 block of East Washington St.
Vincent M. Boswell age 23 of Danville was arrested and charged with traffic violations of OVI and speed

May 2
Handled a dog bite incident – in the 100 block of West South St.
A citizen dropped off prescription drugs to be destroyed
Parking complaint – in the 400 block of South Market St.
Assisted a citizen who had gone walking and became lost in getting back to their vehicle. Officer picked up the citizen and found the vehicle – St. Rt. 715/Zuck Rd.
Wellbeing check – Twp Rd. 11, Brinkhaven
Responded to a location where a young child was observed outside the home wearing only wet underclothing. Upon the officer’s arrival, the youth had been secured by the EKCJFD personnel in one of their vehicles. The youth had no signs of injury and was okay – in the 100 block of West South St.

May 3
Parking complaint – in the 100 block of Progress Dr.
Assisted a citizen – in the 2500 block of Appley Valley Dr.
Officer discovered an unsecured door of a business – North Market St.

May 4
Steven M. Houston age 40 of Vermilion was issued traffic citations for driving under suspension and for a license plate light violation
Assisted a sheriff’s deputy on a traffic stop – South Market St.
Wellbeing check of a child who had fallen. Child checked okay – in the 300 block of North St.
Road rage incident – West Washington St.
Report of unruly juveniles – in the 200 block of Plum St.
Kevin M. Hershberger age 21 of Dundee was issued a traffic citation for speed

May 5
Disturbance – in the 200 block of East Walnut St.
Attempted abduction on the bike path between Howard and Danville. A 14 yr. old female reported that an unknown male attempted to abduct her. Officer responded and upon arrival, the unknown male had left the area and the officer was unable to locate him. The 14 yr. old female was okay. Chief Daniel J. Weckesser expresses the need for our citizens to take extra precautions when out on the bike path. It is best to never walk alone and to always be aware of your surroundings.

Fraud – in the 200 block of Plum St.
Found property. The owner was contacted, and the property was returned to the owner – in the 300 block of South Market St.
Parking complaint – in the 10 block of Linwood St.
Suspicious vehicle – in the 700 block of South Market St.

May 7
Reece Silvery age 19 of Mount Vernon was issued a traffic citation for speed
Caleb S. Vacha age 27 of Frazeysburg was issued a traffic citation for speed
Suspicious vehicle/persons – Bridge of Dreams, Brinkhaven
