Customer Service Representative – Mount Vernon East Office

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide a wide variety of financial services such as opening and closing various deposit accounts, renewing certificate of deposit accounts, processing loan transactions, and assisting customers with account questions
- Answer questions regarding Bank services and perform a variety of account maintenance
- Serve as source of information and guidance to Teller staff
- Cross sell services and perform related clerical functions as required
- Process miscellaneous customer requests, such as stop payments, automatic transfers, check orders, checkbook balancing, etc.
- Review, complete and assist customers with basic lending applications including consumer loans and personal loans
- Process wire transfers within designated authority
- Process Élan Visa credit applications and Checkline applications
- Assist or refer customers with any questions or problems as they arise
- Respond to customers with inquiries and transaction requests made by the phone, mail and website
- Assist Branch Management with daily Branch Operations duties such as pulling various customer reports and gathering data as needed
- Assist with teller line coverage as staffing levels demand
- Individually and if applicable, as a manager, participate in identifying, measuring, monitoring, controlling and mitigating departmental and enterprise-wide risks
- Review, complete and assist customers with intermediate lending applications including mortgage and HELOC
- Independently research and resolve account issues
- Maintain awareness of and adherence to Bank’s compliance requirements and risk management concepts, expectations, policies and procedures and apply them to daily tasks
- Deliver a consistent, high level of service within our Service Excellence standards
- Other duties as assigned
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Thorough understanding of Bank products and services
- Familiarity with Bank and branch functions, policies and procedures
- Strong oral and/or written communication skills
- Well organized
- Ability to maintain an effective workflow
- Able to work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment
- Basic to intermediate skill in Microsoft Office programs and proficiency in web-based applications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must possess High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years teller experience preferred
- Thorough understanding of Park National Bank guidelines, policies, and procedures
SCHEDULE
Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am-7:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-3:00pm. This is an extended hours of operation location. This position is hourly and full time. A minimum 37.5 hours is required to maintain eligibility for full-time status.
