Rinehart Places Third At Girls States

MV Wrestling history was made Saturday as Sophomore 115 pound Emma Rinehart becomes the first Mount Vernon Wrestler to place at the Girls State Wrestling Tournament held at Hilliard Davidson High School.

“I am extremely proud of Emma. You always want to see your athletes succeed and do well at the end of the season. But with Emma, it’s great to see because she works so hard for her to see the fruits of her labor. It is a wonderful thing to see and experience,” stated Head Coach Nate Cornell.  “She exhausts every possibility and opportunity that she can to improve and reach her goals.  She attends clubs, clinics, and tournaments all spring, summer, and fall to ensure she has success in the winter. She attends every practice during the season and even seeks out extra work before or after practices. It is no wonder why she is so successful and why she reaches and completes her goals. Good things come to those who work and Emma is the epitome of that.”
