MV FFA Places 13th in the State

State Placers: Ansley Daubenmier, Vivian Noble, Grace Laymon, Layne Dailey

Recently, four Mount Vernon FFA Chapter members competed in the state finals of the Ohio FFA Agricultural Biotechnology Career Development Event. The students learned and applied their knowledge through an online test. Their scores on this test earned them a spot in the final in-person competition hosted by Central State University in Wilberforce, OH.

During the preliminary testing, the team placed 18th in the state. During the finals competition and demonstration of lab practicums, MV climbed five spots with a final placing of 13th in the state.   Competed team members included Vivian Noble, Layne Dailey, Sam Ladig, Ansley Daubenmier, Roan Ramey, Chase Temple, Brett Mast, Jacklyn Auker, Emma Croghan, and Grace Laymon. Daubmenier, Noble, Laymon (who earned a 6th place individual finish), and Dailey were the team members invited to participate for state finals. Grace Laymon earned a sixth-place individual finish.
