Marlow Retires After 25 Years

“After 25 years of employment at the Knox County Career Center, Jane Marlow will retire on January 31, 2022, as the Director of Knox Technical Center. “Jane leads with integrity and compassion,” says Kathy Greenich, Superintendent. “She has been insightful and strategic in leading Knox Technical Center, which is part of Ohio’s Higher Education system.”
Marlow first came to KCCC as an instructor of computer classes in the adult education department, drawing on her experience as an accountant. After 12 years of teaching and coordinating various computer and office programs, she was promoted to the role of Director of Knox Technical Center in 2009.
During her tenure as director, KTC achieved the designation of a “Center for Training Excellence” and earned accreditation with the Council on Occupational Education. She oversaw the purchase and renovation of an additional building for the nursing programs and secured grants to assist with student tuition, staffing, and development costs.
“It has been an honor to be a part of the important work at Knox Technical Center,” says Marlow. “Assisting and guiding students to gain the skills, certifications, and licensure so they are employable in their chosen career has been rewarding for me. The work at Knox Technical Center transforms lives.”
“Marlow’s expertise will be missed,” says Greenich. “Her grasp of higher education regulations and career tech programming paired with years of experience in helping adults achieve their goals has made Knox Technical Center a major partner in training the workforce locally and regionally. I’m thrilled for Jane, but will definitely miss working alongside her.”
