Free Archery Class Offered at Spring Valley Shooting Range

 

SPRING VALLEY, Ohio – Outdoor enthusiasts of all ages interested in learning to shoot archery are invited to attend a free training session provided by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, from 2-5 p.m. at the Spring Valley Shooting Range.

Instructors will cover topics including proper stance, archery techniques, shooting a Genesis bow, and target practice (bowhunting is not covered). While this class is free for all, participants aged 7 and older are encouraged. All equipment is provided, including both right-handed and left-handed bows. Participants are asked not to bring personal equipment.

The class is free of charge, but pre-registration is required as space is limited; no walk-ins will be permitted. Register online at wildohio.gov before Friday, Feb. 11.

Attendees should meet at the Spring Valley Shooting Range and Education Center at 3570 Houston Rd, Waynesville, OH 45068. There is both an indoor and outdoor archery range that can be used depending on the weather. Please dress accordingly.
