Kenyon College is conducting a national search for a motivated and experienced football coach to be our new Defensive Coordinator.  We take great pride in our rich football tradition and the next Defensive Coordinator will be a colleague who is willing to work hard to enhance the lives of our student-athletes academically, athletically, and within the community.

Kenyon College invites applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach (Defensive Coordinator). This is a full time, 10-month reporting position with benefits.  Under the general direction of the Head Football Coach, this coach will assist with the responsibilities of the NCAA D-III football program in accordance and compliance with NCAA, NCAC, and Kenyon College policies and regulations. The Assistant Football Coach will work in conjunction with the head coach to fulfill the following responsibilities: coaching student athletes, mentoring assistant coaches, scouting opponents, recruiting various territories, and developing alumni contacts. This position will also serve as the Defensive Coordinator, responsible for managing all duties related to organization of the defensive staff, creating defensive schemes and playbook information and evaluating defensive personnel. Additional departmental responsibilities will be assigned in game management, teaching, and/or administration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Five or more years of college coaching with experience at the Division III level preferred.
  • CPR, First Aid and AED Certification is required (and can be completed after hire)
