Offenses

January 5
A complainant advised that someone entered his vehicle and removed items at approximately 3:30 a.m. The investigation is closed pending the identification of the suspect.

January 6
Officers were called to Hot Rods at 1616 Coshocton Avenue in reference to a theft. A report was taken.

January 7
An officer responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint on East Burgess Street. A vehicle was towed from the scene.

An officer’s responded to a disturbance in the 700 block of West Gambier Street. Scott Llewellyn was subsequently issued a summons in lieu of arrest for possession of drug abuse instruments.

Officers responded to an address on North Rogers Street on a report of a disturbance in the street. A report was filed and forwarded to the City Law Director for review.

An officer responded to the area of Newark Road in reference to a threats call.

January 8
Officers were dispatched to a disturbance on the 900 block of West High Street. A report was taken and a report will be sent to the Knox County Juvenile Prosecutor.

Officers were dispatched to a suspicious person hanging around Burger King. Labrea Howland was subsequently arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.

A 2010 Ford was impounded and towed by Howard Street Garage and placed in the Police Impound lot located at 500 North Elm Street. Cost to tow $129 and $17 per day for storage.

A complainant reported that a 48-hour wait was placed on a 2004 Nissan Maximat that was abandoned at his rental property on Maplewood Avenue. The complainant said that an officer had come to the residence on January 6, 2022. The vehicle was removed by Blubaugh’s Body and Frame and taken to their impound lot. The vehicle didn’t have an engine and othering valued over $25. There were two keys and a fob left in the vehicle. A vehicle inventory sheet was completed and a report was filed.

Units were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of West High Street for a drug overdose. Upon arrival, units made contact with the complainant and a female who was overdosing. Mount Vernon Fire Department medics arrived on the scene and transported the female to Knox Community Hospital. This report will be forwarded to the Knox County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

January 9
An officer was dispatched to 5 Gay Street in reference to an inactive domestic violence.

A female who lives on Walnut Street reported a theft from her vehicle. A report was filed.

January 10
An officer was dispatched to Marion Street on a burglary.

Tiffani Von Williamson was cited for no tail lights/license plate lights.

January 8
Labrea Howland was charged with illegal use or possession of drugs and resisting arrest.
Ryan K. Kemp was charged with DOC/P in a medical facility.
Jacob R. Stotts was charged with domestic violence.
Cody A. Clark was cited for drive onto road/duty to yield.
Angelica F. Preston was cited for operator/chauffeur license required.
Zachary B. Kick was cited for obey traffic control devices.

January 9
Spencer Nauman was charged with domestic violence.
Arthur B. Kuykendall was charged with assault
Carlos A. Perez was charged with OVI – Under the influence.
Carlos A. Perez was cited for driving under OVI suspension, refusing chemical tests with previous, and being under the influence.

January 10
Sarah A. Hedinger was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
Habib Arghib was cited for red light.
