Seeking Part Time Firefighter/EMT/Paramedic

Under supervision of an in-charge firefighter, a probationary firefighter is responsible for responding to fire alarms and assisting in fighting fires; responds to emergency medical alarms and administers treatment and transportation of sick or injured persons to medical facilities; participates in fire station maintenance; engages in training and performs other related duties as required while completing the probationary requirements and time period.

US Citizen : Yes
High School Grad/GED : Yes
Valid OHIO State Driver’s License : Yes
Ability to pass and provide doctors physical: Yes
Ability to pass and provide a BCI background check: Yes
Prior Experience : Preferred not required
Necessary Certification :
• Firefighter I or II
• NIMS 100 & 700
• EMT basic or Paramedic
The Bladensburg Fire district offers part-time positions during daytime hours. The positions consist of part-time sign up, and regularly scheduled shifts. Part-time members that work an every third or sixth day receive annual vacation. Part-time members must be able to give a minimum of two days of availability per month. Pay differential is in place for members that ride out of class for any period of time. Shifts begin at 0800 and end at 2000.
