December 19
Unit 2 (horse-drawn carriage) was attempting to make a left-hand turn while driving south on South Market Street and turning east on East Ross Street in Danville, Ohio when struck by Unit 1. Unit 1 was attempting to overtake the slower-moving Unit 2 and did not notice Unit 1 signaling a left turn. The horse from Unit 2 made contact to Unit 1’s passenger-side mirror and caused minor damage to the right front fender. The horse was not injured. Unit 1 was operable.
December 22
KCSO was dispatched to Quarry Chapel Road to assist with a distraught male.
The driver of Unit 1 advised there was a mechanical failure to the vehicle causing swerving within the roadway. The vehicle left the right side of the roadway, struck a mailbox, caused ruts in the ground, then rolled over onto the passenger side of the vehicle.
