Nyhart Sentenced on Drug Charges

Jesse Nyhart, 28, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to a total of 4.5 to 6 years in prison on two drug cases. Nyhart entered guilty pleas to aggravated trafficking in drugs, a second-degree felony, and aggravated trafficking in drugs, a third-degree felony.
Judge Richard Wetzel sentenced him to 3 to 4.5 years on the first case, and 18 months on the second case, which will run consecutively.
Nyhart will also forfeit $1257 in drug proceeds to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office along with a .50 caliber rifle. The cases were investigated by KCSO Det. Terry Wolfe and prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutor Nicole Derr.
