On November 10, 2021, Patrolman Aaron Collins was promoted to the rank of Sergeant with the Mount Vernon Police Department. Sgt. Collins has been an Officer with the Mount Vernon Police Department since 2012. He has served as a Patrol Officer since he joined the department, he is a member of the Emergency Service Unit, and a K9 handler with his partner Laya.
The Mount Vernon Police Department would like to congratulate Sgt. Collins on his promotion and wish him luck in his new position.
