Field House to Host Vaccine Clinic on Nov. 12

11/4/21 – Knox Public Health will conduct a community vaccine clinic, Friday, Nov. 12 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Mount Vernon Energy Field House. Vaccines for both the flu and COVID-19 will be available for adults and children, ages 12 and older. If accompanied by an adult other than a parent or guardian, a child must have a signed consent form from a parent or guardian.

This is a walk-in clinic, although beginning Monday (11/8) specific time appointments between 1-4 p.m. can be scheduled online at knoxhealth.com.

Clinic attendees will need to bring a photo ID and medical/insurance card. Medicaid, Medicare and most forms of insurance will be accepted for payment for the flu shot. Otherwise, the cost for the flu shot is $35 and can be paid in cash or by check.

There are no out-of-pocket costs to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines will be available at the Nov. 12 clinic as first, second and third doses as well as a booster shot. Adults can receive vaccines for both COVID-19 and the flu at the same time.

Curbside vaccination will be available for those unable to walk into the building. Staff will be onsite to direct attendees to the area where vaccinations will be administered in the attendees’ vehicle.
