Wildlife Wednesday – Eastern Fox Snake

Welcome back to Wildlife Wednesday from your Ohio Division of Wildlife! Today will are partnering with our new H2Ohio Naturalist Kara to spotlight the Eastern Fox Snake.
The Eastern Fox snake is a Species of Concern that faces habitat loss, fear that these harmless constrictors are venomous (due to the copper-colored head and capability to buzz their tail), and illegal collection for the pet trade. These reptiles are found only in the western Lake Erie Marsh Region. Projects from H2Ohio will ensure habitat restoration and conservation for these snakes to thrive.
