Offenses

October 13
An officer responded to a theft of a motor vehicle on Delano Street. The vehicle was recovered a short time later by the Mount Vernon Police Department. This report will be forwarded to the city Lay Director’s Office for review and charges.

October 14
Officers were dispatched to East Chestnut Street in reference to a disturbance.

An officer was dispatched to 5 Gay Street in reference to telecommunication harassment.

An officer responded to West Vine Street on a theft. One metal wheelchair carrier with a vehicle hitch attachment was found to be stolen. No known suspects at this time.

October 15
An officer went out for a black Cadillac that was parked in front of a Church on North Gay Street. The vehicle was issued a second 24-hour parking ticket and was towed by On The Spot Towing to their lot.

An officer was dispatched to South Catherine Street. Upon arrival, the officer spoke to the complainant, who advised that the catalytic converter was removed from his vehicle. A written statement was given to complete and a report was taken.

An officer issued a 3rd parking ticket on Ohio registration RYP4529. A wrecker was requested and towed the vehicle to Blubaugh’s yard. A report was taken.

October 16
Officers responded to an address on West Vine Street on a report of an assault. Upon investigation, Ashely Hamilton was found to assault her roommate. Ashley was arrested for assault and transported to the jail. A report was filed.

October 18
An officer was dispatched to Rural King parking lot for a suspicious person allegedly inside of someone’s vehicle. James Campbell was issued a citation for vehicle trespass.

Patrick M. Dillon was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Frederick Murphy was cited for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and fictitious plates.

October 16
Christopher L. Bumpus was cited for driving under OVI suspension.
Ezrin D. Stevens was cited for expired license plates.
Justin L. Ross was cited for expired or unlawful license plates and DUS – all other suspensions.
Brandon R. Wells was cited for operation at a stop sign.

October 17
Colton Swain was cited for fictitious license/plates.
John T. Cochren was cited for expired license plates.
Timothy W. Kromoff was cited for DUS – all other suspensions.
Donovan L. Hubbell was cited for operator/chauffeur license required.
Tara L. Rutherford was cited for driving under an FRA suspension.
Austin L. Allen was cited for expired license plates.
