Knox Network of Christian Ministries Seeks New Board Members Following Departures

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — Knox Network of Christian Ministries (KNCM), a collaboration of local churches and ministry organizations, has announced the resignation of its President, Pastor Roger Tickle, and its Secretary/Treasurer Melodee Tickle. The Tickles have served on the KNCM board for nine years.

“I have felt for some time now that God is nudging me to step aside and let someone else have the privilege of leading this ministry,” said Pastor Tickle. “It has been an honor and a privilege to be a part of this organization.” Despite stepping down from KNCM leadership, Pastor Tickle will continue to serve the community as a member of the Knox County Community Chaplains. Melodee and Roger are also helping lead a fellowship called Set Free Ministries.

“It is our hope to equip and lead fellow believers in street ministry, and engage with people in their own small group settings,” said Melodee Tickle. “Simply put, we want to be a part of our community experiencing Jesus in a tangible way.”

The departure of Roger and Melodee Tickle from KNCM leaves the organization in need of additional board members. Anyone interested in serving on the KNCM board can request an application by emailing ContactKNCM@gmail.com. Board members are expected to attend monthly board meetings and bi-monthly committee meetings. Responsibilities will include helping to further promote partnership between churches and local faith-based organizations, helping create plans for local observance of the National Day of Prayer, and looking for future ways to inform the community of the services available through KNCM member organizations.

KNCM meets on the first Thursday of every month at TouchPointe Marriage and Family Resources, 400 S Gay Street, Mount Vernon. Each monthly meeting features a special guest speaker and highlights of ministry activity throughout the community. Prayer is held from 9:00 a.m. until 9:25 a.m. The meeting runs from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The Knox Network of Christian Ministries exists to connect churches, ministries, and people to build a stronger community.
