Offenses

October 6
An officer responded to Comfort Inn in reference to an attempted theft from a vehicle.

A female went to the police department and reported that she was scammed out of money from an unknown person. A report was filed.

October 7
An officer responded to Super 8 in reference to found drugs. The drugs were collected and placed inside a Mount Vernon Police Department evidence locker.

October 8
Officers responded to a reported disturbance on East Burgess Street. Upon arrival, an officer observed a male in front of the residence and overheard screaming inside the residence. Parties were separated and a report was taken.

An officer responded to West High Street for an intoxicated male laying on grass by the roadway. The officer issued a summons to the male for open container.

An officer responded to Hickory Street in reference to found property. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the complainant who stated that she observed a male walking down the road and drop a clear baggie. The complainant went to pick the baggie up and noticed it contained a substance she believed to be drugs. The property was taken and placed into evidence lockers at the Mount Vernon Police Department to be destroyed.

October 9
An officer responded to Arch Park on a trash complaint. Upon arrival, the officer spoke to the complainant, who stated that there was a bunch of trash beside the dike. A report was taken and will be forwarded to the appropriate services for removal.

Units were dispatched to a disturbance in the area of Follin Avenue. Contact was made with a male who was trying to locate his father but was knocking on the wrong door. After speaking with the male and his father, it was discovered that the male was under the age of 21 and had been consuming alcohol. The male was identified as Cody Brewer and he was issued a summons for underage consumption.

Carl E. Everett was cited for driving under OVI – .238 more of alcohol per 100 milliliters of urine.
Nicholas R. Sexton was cited for expired license plates.
October 8
Jacob T. Lloyd was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

October 9
Annette B. Dooley was cited for red light.
Tara S. Dayton was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

October 10
Simon M. Boucher was cited for driving an unsafe vehicle and failure to reinstate.
