Honey Run Waterfall Park to Close the Weeks of October 11 and October 18

Honey Run Waterfall Park will be closed the week of October 11 and the week of October 18 for a long-awaited, much anticipated and exciting project!
Sadly, J. Eric Biggs passed in October of 2011. His loving and generous family solicited donations in Eric’s memory for the Park District through the Knox County Foundation, Knox Parks Fund. With these funds and working with Eric’s widow Amy, the project selected is to build an ADA compliant parking lot and an accessible walkway and deck at the Honey Run Waterfall.
Modern Builders and Knox Concrete Construction have been selected for the project and the schedule is as follows.
The Honey Run Waterfall Park will be closed the week of October 11 for the deck build and the week of October 18 for the parking pad and walkway construction. We respectfully ask all visitors to avoid Honey Run Waterfall Park during this project. The park will be open on the weekend (Saturday, October 16/Sunday, October 17) in between the deck build and the concrete work. Check back frequently for updates on the project and closures.
Please join us in celebrating this very important milestone for the Knox County Park District which gives many others the chance to experience this fabulous Knox County gem, the Honey Run waterfall! #honeyrunwaterfall #knoxcountyohio @visitknoxohio #exploreknoxcountyparkdistrict
