JOB SUMMARY
Delivers direct/indirect patient care to patients of all ages from neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult to geriatric utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment; implementation and prioritization of patient’s problems and needs; and development/implementation/evaluation of a nursing plan of care. Demonstrates critical thinking to assure the delivery of safe, quality, age specific care. Delegates effectively to appropriate team members. Documents accurately and in a timely manner. Communicates and collaborates with other healthcare team members. Adheres to organizational policies and procedures; regulatory accrediting body requirements; and professional practice standards.
ARU RN:
Focuses on the unique needs of the rehab patient while transitioning them from an acute care setting to a community setting. Rehabilitation nurses are part of an interdisciplinary team and coordinate care with therapists, case managers, social workers, and a physiatrist (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician) to assess the unique rehab needs that address deficits, implement a rehab nursing plan of care with comprehensive interventions and develop ongoing caregiver and family education.
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited program for licensed practical nursing education including Ohio Board of Nursing intravenous therapy certification
• Current licensure to practice practical nursing in the State of Ohio
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) or must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Previous work experience in a patient care setting preferred.

Schedule

30-40 hours per week
