Woods, Shock Sentenced to Prison

Miranda Woods, 30, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to an indefinite term of six to nine years for a felonious assault that occurred in July 2020. Woods caused serious physical harm to her mother-in-law after attacking her with a knife and breaking a glass blender pitcher over her head. The case was investigated by MVPD Det. Tim Arnold.
Rodney Shock, 41, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to a term of 5 years mandatory time for aggravated drug trafficking and 30 months for aggravated possession of drugs. The sentences will be served concurrently. Shock was found in possession of 92 grams of methamphetamine in a traffic stop in December 2018, where he admitted transporting it for another person. In April 2019, Shock was found in possession of about 6 grams of methamphetamine during a probation check. The cases were investigated by MVPD Lt. Rex Young and KCSO Det. Aaron Phillips.
