Kenyon College invites applications for the position of Director of Strength and Conditioning/ Assistant Director of Lowry Center. This is a full time, 12-month reporting position with benefits.

The Director of Strength and Conditioning / Assistant Director of Lowry Center oversees the programming and use of the Patterson Fitness Center and collaborates with coaches to design and implement strength and conditioning programs for 22 varsity, intercollegiate sports. This position serves the Department of Athletics, Fitness and Recreation in the Division of Student Affairs. This position reports to the Athletics Director for Sports Performance and supports the mission of the College in its focus on student development, outcomes and success. This is a position includes morning, evening and weekend responsibilities.

It is also expected that the Director of Strength and Conditioning / Assistant Director of Lowry Center embrace the department mission of fostering learning and developing community with a focus on the values of citizenship, competition, resiliency, sportsmanship, and teamwork within Kenyon’s unique campus culture. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Strength and conditioning certification required (NSCA or CSCCA mandatory, USAW optional)
  • Maintain all CEU’s and stay current with trends/research
  • CPR, First Aid and AED Certification required (and can be completed after hire)
