Knox County Sheriff’s Report – Sep 14, 2021

September 13
Deputies received a report via phone of harassment on South Adams Street. The complainant called stating an unknown female was taking pictures of his home. A report was taken.

A deputy was advised that a deer needed to be dispatched in the area of Mckenzie Road.

Deputies responded to Hartford Avenue in Centerburg for a found cell phone. The complainant advised he found the phone on a residence porch and called 911 to report. The phone was collected and placed into evidence for safekeeping.

A deputy was advised of a fraud complaint in Gambier that could be handled by phone. Dispatch transferred the victim/complainant to the deputy who spoke with them about the incident.

A complainant called the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and advised that they had found what they believed to be a tracking device on their vehicle.  A Deputy responded to the address and confirmed that it was a
tracking device. The device was collected and placed into evidence. A report was filed and the case remains under investigation.

A deputy was contacted by the Village Of Gambier about a vandalism that had occurred. It was reported that someone had vandalized an electronic speed sign. The deputy responded to the location and made contact.

September 14
A complainant called 911 and advised that he had received text messages from the victim that she was planning on harming herself. Deputies responded to the incident location and located the victim. The victim was transported to Knox Community Hospital Emergency Room for treatment and evaluation.
