Knox County Sheriff’s Report – Aug 16, 2021

August 13
A complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to file a missing person on her stepson. The complainant advised the juvenile ran away from home on July 24, 2021.

A complainant called to report that his live-in partner was breaking things in the house. Upon investigation, both parties were at fault, and the complainant left for the day with relatives.

Deputies responded to a call on Fairgrounds Road in reference to a disturbance. Involved parties were separated and a report of the incident was taken.

A complainant contacted the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to file a report about someone dumping trash on their property. A report was filed to document the incident.

August 14
A deputy observed a vehicle driving left of center on S. Market Street in Danville traveling northbound. After the deputy turned around, the vehicle increased its speed to at least 52 MPH in a 35 MPH zone on S. Market Street. The deputy activated his audible siren and overhead emergency lights to catch up to the vehicle and it continued northbound where it stopped at a gas station. The driver then got out of the vehicle and was ordered back into the vehicle so the traffic stop could proceed. An open container was observed in the vehicle and the driver was suspected to be driving while intoxicated. The driver refused to exit the vehicle to take field sobriety tests and continued to refuse commands to exit his vehicle. The driver resisted as the deputy attempted to remove him. He was then tased and subsequently arrested. The driver, Kyle Clifton, was transported to the Knox County Jail and his vehicle was impounded.

A complainant called the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to speak with a Deputy about a person that may be stalking them and threatening them indirectly. Contact was made with the suspect and they were advised
to have no further contact with the complainant. A report was filed to document the incident and it will be sent to the suspect’s supervising Probation Officer.

A complainant called to report a fight on Cleveland Avenue(Centerburg Commons) that was active between two males.

A victim called the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and advised that a person tried to steal their vehicle from a business on Netherland Road. Deputies arrived on the scene and after speaking with witnesses the suspect, Blue U. Bain, was located, interviewed and placed under arrest.

August 15
A complainant contacted Knox County Sheriff’s Office regarding a domestic violence incident. As a result, the incident was documented and sent for review.
