Danville/Brinkhaven Police Report – Aug 16, 2021

August 1
A vehicle went off the roadway on West Washington Street striking two parked vehicles and left the scene. The Officer’s investigation discovered that the vehicle had been driven by Martin L. Hall age 59 of Howard. Hall was issued traffic citations for leaving the scene of an accident and for failure to control

August 2
Suspicious vehicle – South Market Street

August 5
A vehicle driven by James Jarvis age 46 of Danville went left of center on South Market Street at Flat Run Road striking an oncoming vehicle driven by Cord Stewart of Mount Vernon. Jarvis was issued a traffic citation for driving left of center

August 10
Responded to a report of a horse on the roadway – in the 15000 block of Nashville Road

August 11
Dylan Ball age 21 of Danville was arrested on a felony warrant and transported to the Knox County Jail

August 12
Responded to a private property auto accident in the 200 block of East Walnut Street. Involved parties didn’t want an auto crash report advising the damages will be taken care of by the at-fault party

August 14
A citizen turned in prescription drugs to be destroyed
Assisted a deputy sheriff on an OVI traffic stop where the driver was refusing to cooperate – in the area of the Village Square
A citizen turned in a found credit card that had been left in a local ATM

August 15
Responded to a domestic disturbance – in the 10 block of Plum Street
Responded to a reported fire in the kitchen of a home in the 100 block of South Cedar Street. The fire department responded also. It was discovered grease had caught fire on the kitchen stove
