August 12
A complainant states that between 2000 hrs. on August 8, 2021, and 0400 on August 12, 2021, unknown person(s) removed approximately $2000.00 worth of tools from his vehicle. The complainant stated that the vehicle was unlocked.

A complainant called the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to report that there was an injured deer near a residence on Apple Valley Drive. The injured deer was located and dispatched.

August 13
While investigating a crash, the suspect, Trey D. Long, arrived on the crash scene to give the occupants of the crashed vehicle a ride. When contact was made at the vehicle with the driver of the crashed vehicle deputies could smell a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was searched and drug paraphernalia and opened bottles of alcohol were located. These items were placed into evidence and the suspect was given a citation.
