August 2
Knox County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residential facility for a male throwing objects at the staff. No injuries were reported. Deputies made contact with everyone involved and filed a report for the facility.

A complainant called the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and advised that there was an abandoned vehicle on his property on Gambier Road. Contact was attempted with the registered owner who advised that they had
sold the vehicle. Contact was attempted with that person with no success. The vehicle was towed from the property and a report was filed.

Deputies attempted an arrest warrant at a residence on Columbus Road in Mount Vernon. The suspect, Chad T. McKnight, was located and arrested without incident.

A complainant called the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to report that someone had thrown household goods and other property into the back of their semi-trailer that they park at a business on Pittsburgh Avenue. A report was filed to document the incident.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence in Mount Vernon, on a theft call. The complainant said that when he left for work in the morning on August 2, 2021, that he noticed the toolboxes on his truck were open. The complainant said they were not locked. He said several power tools were missing. A report was taken.

August 3
Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Bloomfield Road on a female experiencing a mental health crisis. The female called in advising that she was hearing voices and that the voices were causing her to experience pain. The female did not want to go to the hospital but stated that she would speak to a Behavioral Health Representative via phone. Contact was made with an on-call Behavioral Health Representative and an appointment was set for the female to appear later in the day.
