July 30
A complainant reported that sometime overnight a suspect scattered a bag of trash on the business property.

July 31
A deputy was dispatched to the area of Range Line Road/ Newark Road regarding a deer that had been injured. The deputy dispatched the deer with his office-issued sidearm.

A complainant called the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to report that the license plate on their car had been stolen. A report was filed and the license plate was entered into L.E.A.D.S as stolen.

August 1
A complainant advised when he got home from vacation, he noticed his trailer was stolen.

Deputies were advised by dispatch of a person with a warrant, was at a Mount Vernon address. The tip was phoned in by an anonymous source. Deputies went to the address and apprehended Daniel J. Huffman. Huffman was transported to Knox County Jail without incident.

A complainant called the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to report that their credit card information had been stolen and used without their permission. A report was filed to document the incident.

A complainant contacted Knox County Sheriff’s Office regarding the vandalism of a vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to the theft from vehicle incident on Floralwood Drive in Howard, Ohio. Deputies arrived on the scene and completed an investigation while other deputies patrolled the area for suspects. Evidence was collected of the damaged property and the complainants advised nothing had been stolen. Deputies cleared the scene and continued to patrol the area. No suspects were located.
