July 29
Deputies were dispatched on a report of suspicious persons being at Campers Village at Apple Valley in Howard.  Upon arrival, they made contact with the individuals and it was determined their vehicle was not properly registered or titled to be on the roadway and on private property. Transportation for the individuals was arranged and the vehicle was impounded. A report of the incident was taken. A list of Knox Community Resources was also provided.

A deputy was advised of a suspicious person that was entering Kenyon College buildings and acting abnormally. The deputy responded to the area and was able to locate the individual on Chase Avenue. The deputy exited their vehicle and contact was made with her.

A complainant came to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to report that a barn on their property had been broken into and items had been destroyed and removed from the barn.

July 30
A deputy was stationary at the intersection of S. Main Street and Mount Vernon Avenue in Mount Vernon Ohio. The deputy observed a white Chevrolet driving South on S. Main Street that appeared to be traveling at a speed faster than the posted speed limit of 25mph. The vehicle then locked up its brakes and slid into the middle of the intersection through a red light. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on Martinsburg Road Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050. The deputy conducted an investigation. The driver, Josephy G. A. Seymour, was arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail.
