June 30
Danville Police Department was waved down by a victim of domestic violence. Danville Police determined that the incident took place outside of their jurisdiction. A deputy responded and made contact with the victim. The suspect, Derek D. Moran, was arrested for domestic violence and assault and transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Spring Water Drive on a report of a person making threats with a firearm.

A complainant/non-offense victim called to report that he was wanting to harm himself or others and wanted help.

A complainant advised she discovered a wallet and dropped it off at the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. An inventory receipt was conducted on the wallet and signed by the complainant. The wallet was dropped off at the owner’s who claimed all the contents were there and she signed the receipt.

July 1
A deputy stopped a male individual walking on the side of the roadway, who matched the description of an individual that had just fled on foot from a deputy on Harcourt Road near New Delaware Road. After running the male individual’s information, dispatch advised that the individual, Joshua L. Scarbury, had an outstanding warrant out of the Mansfield Police Department. Scarbury was then placed under arrest and transported to the Knox County line and released to the Mansfield Police Department without incident.
