Full Job Description

Kenyon is conducting a search for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Telecommunications Officer, Part-Time. The qualified candidate will have the ability to handle all calls in a professional and courteous manner and to deal with emergencies calmly and efficiently. Shifts will consist of first, second, third, weekends and holidays. The rate of pay is $13.00 per hour. This is a collectively bargained position and without benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate must possess basic knowledge of office computer systems, ability to deal with the public, ability to handle emergencies, and ability to multi-task. The general responsibility of the telecommunications officer will be the reception and routing of all incoming calls through a multi-line and emergency telephone system; operation of radio dispatch; documentation of all radio communications; disbursement of keys for college vehicles and certain campus areas; operation of the access system and fire alarm systems.

Hours worked per week and shifts worked will be dependent on coverage needs, this will include weekends and possibly holidays. Shifts are 7:00a.m until 3:00p.m., 3:00p.m. until 11:00p.m. and 11:00p.m. until 7:00a.m.
