Price Apprehended

At approximately 2:19 pm officers apprehended Darren L. Price at a residence in North Liberty. Warrants for his arrest had been issued after the June 17th incident when a Fredericktown Police officer reported that Price had pulled a handgun, and then fled from the scene of a traffic stop on Fredericktown Amity Road.

Tips from the public, as well as evidence and information collected by deputies and Ohio B.C.I. Agents lead to the issuing of warrants for his arrest on June 22nd. The Mount Vernon Police Department provided information that lead the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to reach out to the United States Marshal Service and their Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team for technical support and personnel to assist in locating and apprehending Price. He is currently being held in the Knox County Jail. The case remains under investigation.
