June 17
A complainant contacted the Sheriff’s Office in reference to the victim being assaulted by the victim’s cousin. There were visible injuries to the victim. Photographs were taken of the injuries and statements were collected. Contact was unable to be made with the suspect. A warrant was issued.

June 19
A complainant contacted Knox County Sheriff’s Office regarding a trespassing complaint.

A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for an equipment violation on Cassell Road. The driver, Travis Iley, was arrested for OVI after failing field sobriety tests. Travis was transported to the Knox County Jail for further testing then released to his father. Marijuana was also located during the traffic stop and was placed into evidence.

June 20
Deputies were dispatched to an inactive burglary at a residence on Millersburg Rd. Deputies arrived on the scene, collected written statements and photographs of the damaged property. The report will be forwarded to the Knox County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

June 21
Deputies were dispatched to a property on Bogardus Road involving a possible theft in progress. A complainant called in stating that he has cameras set up on his property and could visually see two individuals actively stealing wood. The suspects fled the property prior to the deputies’ arrival but were located on New Gambier Road in possession of the stolen wood. The suspects, Kelsey E. Kuhn Jr. and Eric S. Mather, were placed under arrest and transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.
