The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted an enhanced risk of severe thunderstorms across Northwest and North Central Ohio today. A slight risk of severe thunderstorms is highlighted across the rest of the local area. The main threat today will be damaging wind gusts to

 

70 mph that can lead to downed trees and power lines. Large hail to ping pong ball size and an isolated tornado are also possible. The main time frame for severe thunderstorms will be between 4 PM and 10 PM. Stay tuned for possible severe weather watches and warnings later today. Thunderstorms today will also produce heavy rainfall with many areas receiving between 1 and 2 inches of rain. The heaviest rainfall is expected along and south of the Route 30 corridor where pockets in excess of 3 inches are possible and could lead to flash flooding, especially tonight. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will develop again on Saturday afternoon and evening. A few of the stronger storms could approach severe limits. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible into Saturday morning. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
