Police Officer Opening

 

The Danville Police Department will be hiring a police officer for an open position on the police patrol unit. The successful candidate can also become a certified K-9 handler. The starting rate of pay will be $17.00 per hour. There will be a 1-year probationary period. Applicants must be US citizens and be at least 21 years of age. Have a valid Ohio driver’s license. Have a High School Diploma or its equivalent. Have a valid Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy certification. No felony or family violence convictions. The hiring process may involve but is not limited to: Background investigation, a medical examination, a psychological examination, a polygraph, and or stress analyzer examination.

Applications will be accepted until June 30th and may be picked up at the Danville Municipal Building 8 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday at 512 South Market Street.
