June 5
A male was driving a Polaris Ranger at the Mohican Reservation Campground when he lost control and struck the tongue of a travel trailer causing damage to both. Deputies responded to the incident and the driver of the Ranger, William Caley, of Ashland, was arrested for OVI.

A homeowner called to report that there was a male passed out in a vehicle parked in front of his garage. The complainant stated that the vehicle was running and the male was not waking up. He also did not know who the male was sitting in the driver’s seat. Deputies responded to the location and attempted to wake the driver, Zachary McGuire, by knocking on the window without success. The deputies made entry into the locked vehicle and woke him but he refused to exit the vehicle. McGuire was removed from the vehicle and arrested for OVI then transported to the Knox County Jail. McGuire’s vehicle was impounded.

June 6
Deputies were dispatched to Knox Lake in Fredericktown on an individual an ODNR officer had contacted having warrants out of Knox County. Deputies took the individual into custody and he was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Jason A. Oldfield was arrested for assault and taken to the Knox County Jail without incident.

June 7

A complainant called 911 and advised that the offender had struck his own wife in the face. The offender, Shannon H. Stoh was located a short time after and arrested for domestic violence and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The offender was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

A complainant contacted the Sheriff’s Office to report damage to their vehicle. They advised while driving on Wooster Road a passing car threw something at their vehicle causing damage.

While driving on Coshocton Avenue, Kaitlyn M. Gilbert was observed stumbling partway on the sidewalk and partway in Coshocton Avenue while possessing an open container of alcohol. Gilbert was issued a summons and released from the scene to a sober individual.

Shannon H. Stroh was stopped as a result of a warrant for domestic violence. During the stop, it was found that he was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was offered field sobriety testing and refused. Stroh was placed under arrest and transported to the Knox County jail without incident.
