Dean Sentenced for Felonious Assault and Domestic Violence

Jaron Dean, 34, of Fredericktown, was sentenced to prison for an indefinite term of three to four-and-a-half years after pleading guilty to felonious assault and domestic violence.
Dean had multiple prior instances of domestic violence with different victims. In this case, he broke the victim’s ankle in a dispute at his residence.
Prosecutor McConville had requested a sentence of 5 to 7.5 years, while the victim appeared at court requesting a non-prison sanction.
The felonious assault, a second-degree felony, carries a presumption of prison. The case was investigated by FPD Ptl. Rene Joris.
