New Suspension Bridge at Mohican State Park

Have you seen our new bridge at Mohican State Park? This suspension bridge, which spans 120 feet, leads people across the Clear Fork of the Mohican State Scenic River connecting the Hemlock Gorge Trail with the Gorge Overlook Trail and just opened this past week.
The new suspension bridge replaces a bridge built for gas workers in 1939. The old bridge was torn down after flood damage in 1969. In 2020, the Mohican Trails Club completed work to restore the Gorge Overlook Trail providing better access to the area and making way for construction on the suspension bridge. Building began in October 2020 and was complete in early May 2021.
The new bridge at Mohican State Park is about a mile away from the campground.
