BFEC Summer Programs for Students

Summer Programs for students entering grades 4, 5, and 6. Register now by emailing Noelle Jordan at jordan2@kenyon.edu.
During these programs, students will spend time outside at the BFEC and they will spend time at the Gund Gallery on Kenyon’s campus. All materials and equipment will be provided, as well as snacks & water.
Nature Journaling: The Art of Trees
Session Dates: June 3, 10, 17
Time: 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Students will make their own journal and learn the basics of sketching while exploring the exhibit, The Art of Trees. Then we will spend time outside looking at trees from every angle and sketching in our journals. Register for one session only. To register, email Noelle Jordan at jordan2@kenyon.edu.
Nature Photography: The Art of Trees
For students entering grades 4, 5, and 6.
Session Dates: June 24, July 1, 8, 15
Time: 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Students will learn how to use a digital camera and spend time taking photos of trees. We will explore the exhibit, The Art of Trees, and print some photos that they took outside. Register for one session only. To register, email Noelle Jordan at jordan2@kenyon.edu.
Nature Prints: The Art of Trees
For students entering grades 4, 5, and 6.
Session Dates: July 22, 29 and Aug 5, 12
Time: 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Students will create solar prints and collect tree-related items. We will take these items to the Gund Gallery where we will create several prints to take home. Register for one session only. To register, email Noelle Jordan at jordan2@kenyon.edu.
