The USA Days festival is searching for the 2021 Little Miss Liberty and Little Uncle Sammy! They must be ages 4 to 6 years, do not have to live in Centerburg. Registration forms will be going home tomorrow with all kindergarten and first graders from Centerburg Elementary. I will also be placing forms at the Centerburg Post Office and Hometown Market later today! The forms need to be submitted by the end of May.
The kids collect money from family and friends and the girl and boy with the highest amounts will be the winners. There are gifts for every child entered and the winners also get a tiara and Uncle Sam hat. The pageant will be held on the first night of the festival, Thursday, June 24th at 7 pm on stage.
The winners will ride in the big parade on Saturday, June 26th at 11 am and also in the Farming Festival Parade in September. The winners will return next year to crown their successors. The funds raised go back into the festival so that we can continue to bring you a nice festival that has free admission, free parking, free entertainment, rides, food and fun for all ages!
